Directions

CREAM shortening with sugar; STIR in egg, molasses, and vinegar; BEAT well.
2.
MIX dry ingredients; STIR in; CHILL three hours.
3.
On floured surface, ROLL to 1/8 inch; CUT in shapes.
4.
PLACE one inch apart on greased cookie sheet; BAKE at 350F about six minutes.
5.
COOL slightly; REMOVE from cookie sheet; COOL on rack.
6.
DECORATE with confections (sprinkles, cinnamon drops, etc.)
