In a small saucepan, MELT together cocoa, butter, and shortening; SET aside.

2.

In a small mixing bowl, BLEND sugar, salt, milk, and vanilla.

3.

ADD chocolate mixture; MIX well; let STAND, STIRRING occasionally until desired consistency.

4.

SPREAD on brownies; SPRINKLE with chopped nuts, if desired.

Good topping for ZUCCHINI BROWNIES
