PREPARE penne according to package instructions.

COOK bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crisp; REMOVE bacon, reserving two tablespoons drippings in skillet.

CRUMBLE bacon; SET aside.
4.
SAUTE sliced mushrooms and garlic in reserved drippings, three minutes or until tender.
5.
STIR in cooked penne, Parmesan cheese, whipping cream and pepper.
6.
SIMMER over medium-low heat, STIRRING often, until sauce is thickened.
7.
STIR in crumbled bacon and sliced green onions.
