PREHEAT oven to 350°.

In a large mixing bowl, COMBINE both flours, baking soda and salt.

In a small mixing bowl, WHISK buttermilk and molasses; STIR into dry ingredients until just moistened.

4.

FOLD in raisins and nuts.

5.

TRANSFER equally to two greased 8x4-inloaf pans.

6.

Bake at 350° until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 45-50 minutes.

7.

Let COOL for 10 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks.
