1.

BLEND first four dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl.

In a small bowl, BEAT egg yolks with a fork; ADD milk and oil, STIRRING thoroughly.

3.

ADD liquids to flour mixture and STIR until blended but still slightly lumpy; gently FOLD in egg whites.

4.

BEAT egg whites until soft peaks form; ADD sugar and continue BEATING until glossy; BEAT in vanilla.

5.

POUR batter onto preheated, lightly greased waffle maker; use manufacturer's recommended amount of batter (approx 3/4 cup for our waffler).

6.

CLOSE lid quickly and cook until steam stops escaping (about 3 minutes for our waffler); REMOVE and serve.
