MELT butter or margarine in small saucepan over low heat.

STIR in bread crumbs, walnuts and cinnamon.

3.

DRAIN pears; in pie plate, ARRANGE pears, cut-side up.

4.

SPOON 1 teaspoon mixture onto each pear.

5.

BAKE 350 F for 25 minutes until topping is lightly browned.
