PREPARE polenta according to recipe.

PREPARE shrimp (thaw, peel, devein) as needed; RINSE shrimp; PAT dry; PLACE in medium bowl.

COMBINE lemon juice, ground red pepper and Cajun seasoning; STIR into shrimp; SET aside.

While polenta is cooking, in a medium skillet, FRY bacon pieces accordint to Mama Donna's best practices.

In a separate medium skillet, HEAT olive oil over medium heat for 30 seconds; ADD onion and pepper; COOK until vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.

3.

STIR flour into vegetables; COOK until golden, about 2 minutes.

4.

Carefully STIR in broth; ADD shrimp; COOK, stirring, until mixture is thickened and bubbly and the shrimp has turned opaque, about 3-4 minutes.

5.

SEASON to taste with salt and pepper.
