In a medium mixing bowl, BEAT together Cool Whip and sweetened condensed milk; ADD lemon juice; BEAT until thickened; ADD kumquats; BEAT until mixture is uniform.

2.

POUR mix into prepared pie shell; REFRIGERATE several hours or overnight.

Kumquat skins will not puree fully--no problem; the shreds add tang and color
