In a skillet, COOK suasage (or bacon) until done.

2.

In a large stock pot over medium heat, COMBINE all ingredients EXCEPT pasta.

3.

BRING to a boil; REDUCE heat; COVER; SIMMER for 40 minutes.

4.

ADD pasta; COOK uncovered until pasta is tender, about 10 minutes.

5.

Ladle into bowls; GARNISH with cheese.
