In a medium mixing bowl, COMBINE beef, onion, rice, egg, salt and pepper; MIX thoroughly; FORM into 1" balls.

ARRANGE meatballs in a broiler pan, leaving room between; BROIL until browned.

3.

PLACE browned meatballs in a small casserole dish; POUR tomatoes over top; COVER with foil.

4.

BAKE at 350° for 45 minutes.
