COMBINE brown sugar and cream.
COOK at boil for four minutes.
REMOVE from heat; STIR in margarine.
Gradually ADD powdered sugar, while STIRRING, until mixture is smooth.
SPREAD on cooled cookies, TOPPING each with a pecan half.
BEAT margarine, ADDING brown and white sugar.
Continue to MIX, gradually ADDING egg, vanilla, flour, soda and salt until all ingredients are well mixed.
STIR in pecans.
CHILL 30 minutes.
SHAPE into 1-inch balls; PLACE on ungreased cookie sheet; BAKE at 350F for ten minutes.
COOL on wire racks; FROST.
