Ingredients

Directions

1.

In a shallow bowl, BEAT together eggs, cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg.

2.

In an electric skillet set to medium, MELT one tablespoon butter for each batch.

3.

NOTE: the following instructions assume that you need to divide the bread into batches to fit your size skillet/griddle; modify the instructions accordingly if your bread to skillet ratio is more or less than 2; PREHEAT oven to 200° if doing multiple batches.

4.

DIP one batch of the bread slices in the egg mixture, COATING both sides.

5.

COOK until slices are golden brown, turning once; KEEP cooked slices warm in preheated oven.

6.

REPEAT steps 2 through 4 as needed.

This recipe is best used to breathe life into leftover bread.
