Ingredients

Directions

1.

DISSOLVE the dry (instant) yeast in the lukewarm water.

2.

In a large mixing bowl, COMBINE the yeast with all the other ingredients; MIX and KNEAD until the dough is smooth.

3.

COVER the bowl; allow the dough to DOUBLE in bulk, about 1 1/2 hours.

4.

SHAPE the dough into an 8-inch log; PLACE in a lightly greased 8 1/2 x 4 1/2-inch loaf pan.

5.

Loosely COVER with plastic wrap; allow the dough to RISE until it crests about 1 inch over the rim of the pan.

6.

PREHEAT oven to 350°.

7.

REMOVE the plastic wrap; BAKE bread until golden brown (with a center temperature of 190°), about 35 to 40 minutes.

8.

REMOVE bread from oven; TURN out on cooling rack.

Great for sandwiches or toasted and spread with jam. Yeehaw.
